If you've walked as Guest or just visited our site, give us feedback! We would be pleased to have your comments. Sorry - no links accepted (anti-spam).

IMPORTANT - IF YOU EDIT THIS PAGE to delete old comments, you MUST ensure that the numbers are left in sequence. This is easiest if you delete all but a couple of the latest comments, and then just renumber them as comment#1?, comment#2? etc. from the bottom up. But since they are numbered from the bottom up, you can easily delete jsut the last (top) comment if someone has posted something offensive or nonsensical.

LEADERS AND COMMITTEE - if you see anything offensive on this pages, please delete the offending material (but note the comment above - easiest to just to delete the words but not the date etc).

Geoff — 10 September 2009, 10:59

Hi Kristina, Nelson and the gang. Good to hear from you after all these years. Sorry haven't replied earlier, don't often visit this page - slack! Did the course together in '97 - good times. Have a variety of activites for you on the program, outlined in the "Current Program", some of which would also be suitable for the younger generation. Hope we can catch up soon. Regards, Geoff

Hi Kerry - If you'd like to send an email to yarrawood@sdr.com.au I'd be happy to pass it on to Les Higgins so he can contact you.

Kerry — 16 April 2009, 15:41

great site came here on recommendation of Les Higgin's book, A Day in the Bush. I was actually hoping to find contact information for MR Higgins. There area considerable number of pages missing from my copy of his book & was wondering if it would be possible for him to provide them for me. Thanks Kerry

Hello to the gang at Yarrawood Nelson and I were members in 2001 or 2002? and completed the 3 stage course. We had a wonderful time. The birth of our kids in 2003, 2005 and 2007 have put a bit of a dampener on our walking aspirations. But now that our 3rd child is 15 months and almost ready to be left with nana I'm hoping to get a least one easy day walk in this year. Hope to see you guys on the track. love Kristina, Nelson, Amelie, Kiki and Rafael

Hi Guys (& Gals)

I'm an avid bushie based on the North Shore. Great to know you are out there - what's the best way of getting in touch & maybe joining a walk?

Three mature males are trying to walk to the Castle in the Budawangs in April. Can anyone help us as to where to start, where to camp and if it is possible to camp then walk to the Castle and back to the campsite in one day.

Dear Confused Camper, Our members can edit the Members Page Gossip & Whinge. Please feel free to give me a buzz or come see me at the AGM to talk thru the process.

Dodie - Club President — 27 February 2008, 11:07

Hello Jon and Julie. We have just finalised our March to November program. It has been loaded to the web today and will be distributed to members at our AGM this weekend. Its a great varied program this year, hope you like it.

The Foot Stool — 04 November 2007, 18:17

To the very weary walker, Macpac don't sell them but Yarrawood occasionally has a special on, depending on whether you're single, love bushwalking & schnapps (not necessarily at the same time) and of course tall and ruggedly handsome.

Confused Camper — 02 November 2007, 14:43

Why can't we edit the Gossip and Whinge page

the very weary walker — 04 September 2007, 17:17

I've looked in the Macpac catalogue for the Warick Hellyer footstools shown in the FAQ section but can't find them.

Does Yarrawood sell them?

Your email link on the front page does not work, and the email address listed is not correct (or --my email didn't make it). Hi Anne - there has been a known email problem recently, but it's now fixed, so please try again. Thanks - Roger.

Rest assured that Carolyn Delicata is still with us. She just had a few technical difficulties on Saturday and did join us for a paddle on Narrabeen Lake during which our fearless leader, Ross, rescued a rainbow lorikeet. The bird did make it safely to a WIRES sponsored home and the beanie was returned somewhat soiled!

The Late Carolyn Delicata — 25 June 2007, 19:27

Thank you Ross for an enjoyable paddle on Narrabeen Lake, hope the bird gave the beanie back.

Returned from an overnight to the junction of Tootie Creek and the Colo in Wollemi National Park. What a paradise! The Colo has a lot more water in it than I've seen for a while and so warm. The warm river rather disappointingly defrosted Waz's Chardonnay. A small group of us enjoyed an afternoon lazing around in the water. Just beautiful, a fantastic wilderness spot so close to Sydney. The walk out broke the legs in for the season.

Dodie — 20 March 2007, 16:41

Joc, thanks for another great trip to Honeymoon Bay, dolphins two years in a row, a turtle this year. It is now my favourite car camping site. Bliss! thanks Joc and thanks Elaine for the prawns. You've raised high tea to the next level!

ziggy — 15 March 2007, 22:17

I agree with norm

Richard B. Cheney — 26 February 2007, 13:21

After reading the walk report on Dunns Swamp I've decided to include it in my itinerary for my next visit to Australia. Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!

Norm — 26 February 2007, 11:38

I really enjoyed viewing the members photos, in particular, the one of the extremely attractive woman on snowshoes.

Jocelyn — 25 February 2007, 15:58

Hi Folks,

I wasn't a walk visitor but had a great day out with Jodi and the gang doing the Dargans Creek Canyon yesterday. It was a well organised day and an excellent canyon for those just beginning or those who haven't done one for a while. We walked down the creek, slipped down fallen trees, waded through thigh deep then waist deep then chest deep water until we swam the last 15mtrs. What a speciel place!. The climb out was equally exciting using a rope followed by a climb up a tree. Great weather and company, thank you Jodie.

Anne — 21 February 2007, 15:46

Great website ... by far the best Bushwalking homepage I have ever seen.
